
The program in Chicago offers reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery credentialing. During the first year, residents work at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, where they gain experience in foot/ankle surgery, trauma, and other rotations. The following two years are at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where residents rotate in various specialties, including emergency medicine and surgery. The program offers housing for rent, meals when on call, and an additional chief resident stipend. Residents can enjoy the many attractions of Chicago, such as its cultural institutions, world-class cuisine, and beautiful lakefront parks.
