The Ascension SE Wisconsin podiatric residency program is a three-year program that emphasizes all aspects of podiatric care, from basic clinical experiences to advanced reconstructive procedures. The program offers a PMSR with rearfoot/ankle certification, and minimum surgical numbers are easily met and exceeded in all categories, with residents single-scrubbing with attending surgeons. The program is designed to start out first-year similar to a typical internship year, focusing on medicine while also starting surgical integration that continues to build throughout the residency experience. The program offers a hands-on and interactive learning approach, where residents learn surgery through doing, not watching. The program is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who want to excel in the podiatric profession. The program’s state-of-the-art main hospital location opened in 2010 and is within two blocks of Lake Michigan, with numerous facilities throughout southeast. Milwaukee, Wisconsin offers many attractions, such as the Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee County Zoo, and Harley-Davidson Museum.
