The podiatric residency program in Alliance, Ohio prefers residents who have completed clerkships at their program and are self-motivated. The program has a heavy procedure load with a large number of rearfoot cases, and residents have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of podiatric surgeons and facilities. Good transportation and meeting the applicant requirements, such as passing a hospital drug screen and FBI background check, are a must. The program requires passing Boards Part I and II and a 36-month commitment, while a minimum 3.0 GPA is expected but not required. Residents are required to live within 30 minutes of the hospital and have transportation.
