The podiatric residency program in Alliance, Ohio prefers residents who have completed clerkships at their program and are self-motivated. The program has a heavy procedure load with a large number of rearfoot cases, and residents have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of podiatric surgeons and facilities. Good transportation and meeting the applicant requirements, such as passing a hospital drug screen and FBI background check, are a must. The program requires passing Boards Part I and II and a 36-month commitment, while a minimum 3.0 GPA is expected but not required. Residents are required to live within 30 minutes of the hospital and have transportation. As for things to do in Alliance, Ohio, the city offers attractions such as the Glamorgan Castle, the Beech Creek Botanical Garden, and the Troll Hole Art Emporium.
