The Carilion Clinic section of Orthopedics and Division of Foot and Ankle Surgery offers a podiatry residency program that provides residents with a wide range of experiences in managing foot and ankle pathology. The program includes rotations in radiology, emergency medicine, orthopedic surgery, and podiatric medicine, all under the guidance of Carilion Clinic faculty. During the first year, residents will complete most of the non-podiatric requirements, while the second and third years will focus heavily on forefoot surgery, complex reconstructive hindfoot surgery, and orthopedic surgery. This program provides an excellent opportunity for residents to develop their skills and knowledge in managing a variety of foot and ankle conditions.
