The surgical residency program at Wilmington Hospital Health Center provides residents with a well-rounded training experience, including surgical, inpatient, and clinical care. The Community Podiatric Center at the hospital offers a diverse range of foot and ankle pathology from various referral sources, allowing residents to gain hands-on experience in office-based procedures, limb salvage and wound care, biomechanical examination, and pre/post-operative patient care. Additionally, the program is affiliated with the University of Delaware, providing residents with access to a broader academic community. Wilmington itself is a charming city with plenty of historical sites, cultural events, and outdoor activities to enjoy.
