This Podiatric Residency Program offers a well-integrated teaching hospital system and is perfect for self-motivated individuals who want to maximize their learning opportunities. The program covers six hospitals, eight surgical facilities, and has 140 podiatric attendings. Residents gain clinical and surgical experience in all aspects of foot and ankle pathology through four resident foot and ankle clinics and multiple private offices. Residents are encouraged to participate in publications and lectures. The program is coordinated with other specialties, and residents are expected to function as equals to allopathic residents. There are over 1,100 residents and fellows being trained at DMC, and rotations include Orthopedic Trauma (Level 1 trauma center) and Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
