The Podiatric Residency Program is a top surgical program with renowned faculty members and a strong alumni network. The program offers exposure to complex cases, including nerve decompression, charcot reconstruction, trauma, joint replacement, and external fixation. The program includes a busy resident-run clinic where residents have access to a variety of complex pathologies and are encouraged to develop a deep understanding of both conservative and surgical treatments. Outside of the program, Chicago offers a plethora of activities, including museums, parks, sports teams, and dining options.

Good attenings and clinics

August 7, 2025

The program has solid, busy clinics with nice attendings. Students presented to the residents first so that the residents could learn. Academics were led in person by the director, who was a smart and really friendly guy. Only qualm was that the surgical cases seemed pretty low which I hear is an issue at a lot of VA programs tho
