South Nassau Communities Hospital offers an excellent podiatric training experience in Oceanside, New York. As a member of the Mount Sinai Health system, the hospital has exceptional podiatric and orthopedic staff who are dedicated educators. The program is CPME certified and offers outstanding rotations and a busy foot and ankle service. Oceanside is a coastal community with beautiful beaches, parks, and recreational activities for residents to enjoy.

Ghost Town

I call this place the ghost town because attendings were rarely around. They had weekly academics, but the attendings would bail at the last minute. One clinic is laughable, there will be 6 patients on the schedule and maybe 2 would show up. Wound care clinic seemed really unorganized. There would be a long list of surgical cases each week, maybe 1/4th of them would actually happen. Weird place with recently fired director that residents are very tight lipped about. There are a lot of better programs than this, it seemed bottom of the barrel type of a place.
