Lots of driving for little return

February 17, 2023

They do not allow the externs to do much hands on activities unfortunately. Although I did scrub in and assist with certain things such as retraction I was still limited in patient care making the exp underwhelming. Housing was somewhat offered which was nice along with meal cards. (Paid 75$ a week for housing). The communication and scheduling could be adjusted as it was very unorganized and at times I would need to reach out to understand where I was needing to be. LOTS of DRIVING so bring a car!!!!
