The Podiatric Medicine and PMSR-RRA program at Oak Hill Hospital, which is accredited by the CPME, is a part of the HCA West Florida GME Consortium. This program aims to train podiatric students in foot and ankle surgery and provide them with the competencies and rotations necessary to become competent practitioners. The program focuses on integrating residents into the medical community and teaching them to work with other professionals in the field. Through the program, residents gain knowledge of medical and biomechanical principles, as well as foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. Brooksville, FL, where the program is located, offers a variety of attractions and activities for residents and visitors alike. The city’s downtown area boasts a number of art galleries, shops, and restaurants, and is home to the popular Brooksville Farmers Market. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby Withlacoochee State Trail, which offers hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The area is also home to several parks, including the picturesque Tom Varn Park and the beautiful Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.
