This foot and ankle surgical residency program places a high emphasis on reconstructive rearfoot procedures, with mandatory weekly academic meetings and lectures. Residents are encouraged to participate in research projects and are required to give educational lectures and teach students. They also take courses in arthroscopy, internal, and external fixation during their third year. The program has an affiliation with The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics. As for things to do in Philadelphia, it’s a city rich in history and culture with many attractions such as the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Reading Terminal Market.
