Dr. Alexander demonstrates pacience

April 6, 2023

I had a fantastic time during my externship at Rush. Each of the attendings felt passionate about the field and were willing to take time to teach students whenever able. Dr. Alexander and his staff demonstrate a relaxed attitude that is conductive to learning for both students and patients. I was able to scrub into surgery many times and even assist in placing hardware. No negatives, would recommend!

decent

I found that the program requires a very driven student who definitely gets what they put into it. I was hands-on and got a lot of surgery exposure… I think they showed us a little bit of everything so I was happy about that part. I wish it was a bit more organized as far as student expectations and paperwork.

Dr. Alexander was not pacient

February 6, 2023

Dr. Alexander was somewhat childish and did not demonstrate patience. Dr. Noxon was this programs only saving grace.

I was not allowed to suture but was able to retract and assist where I was comfortable. They really enjoy pimping and getting you thinking. Both good and bad depending on your viewpoint. I would know mcglammerys and or prism. Surgery was good however I wish we got more time in clinic.
