
The Scott & White Health Care System/Texas A&M University Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residency program is located in Temple, central Texas, and comprises 12 hospitals and 15 major regional clinics. The program offers comprehensive training in didactic, clinical, and surgical aspects at the main Scott & White hospital/clinic, Scott & White Children’s Hospital, and Temple VA Hospital/Clinic. The Scott & White ER in Temple is a level one trauma center. The program includes a rotation to an active military base, Fort Hood, in Killeen, Texas, and some travel to regional clinics, hospitals, and surgery centers in central Texas. Temple, Texas, is home to several attractions such as the Czech Heritage Museum and Genealogy Center, the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum, and the Lake Belton, among others.
