Stony Brook University Hospital offers a diverse residency training experience for podiatry students, including exposure to diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and various types of surgery. The hospital is a level one trauma center with opportunities for forefoot and rearfoot surgery, as well as training in podopediatrics. Interested students are encouraged to participate in externships. In Stony Brook, visitors can enjoy the scenic campus of Stony Brook University, explore Avalon Park and Preserve, or visit the Long Island Museum.
