The PMSR residency with added credential in Rearfoot/Ankle Reconstruction approved by CPME is available at the University of Louisville. The program, located within the Department of Orthopedics, offers a diverse range of clinical exposures and ample medical and surgical experiences. As a level 1 Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital, the University of Louisville provides plenty of opportunities with a focus on lower extremity foot and ankle trauma. Residents also have access to wound care opportunities, working closely with diabetic and traumatic wounds as part of the wound care team. The program’s faculty includes 12 Podiatric and 20 allopathic physicians in multiple specialties. Those interested in the residency program must complete an externship. In Louisville, there are plenty of attractions to enjoy, such as the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, Churchill Downs, and the Muhammad Ali Center.
